Jesse's journey to creating Jicama.
It began on an extensive journey through Mexico. I was seeking culinary inspiration & adventure and found it. I grew fond of strolling through traditional Mexican food “mercados”. With help from locals, friends and family I discovered cuisines and traditions that I had never imagined.
The diversity and accessibility of fresh produce excited me.
A refreshing staple of Mexican cuisine, the Jicama especially grabbed my attention.
Upon returning home, I began working at a farm in Northern California,
where I had access to an unlimited variety of herbs, flowers and vegetables.
The combined energy and inspiration from the two trips exploded and Jicama was born.
Each dish on our current menu shares common themes.
